PLEASE HELP!!! URGENT! I'm completely stuck on this problem, could someone please explain why the answer to this is: (1/20) "Gia's ruler is divided into tenths of an inch. What fraction of an inch represents the greatest possible measurement error due to Gia's ruler? Why?" Thanks!

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

ok so 1/20 is 2 tenths of an inch right/? When making a measurement you can really only be certain that the value to be measured is between some divisions on the ruler, one on either side |dw:1335455838495:dw| The error in certainty of the measurement will be at least 2 divisions on the rule or scale
