Can someone help me with a refraction problem please?
For the ray entering the prism, i=(90-30)=60 Find r, using sini/sinr=n. r is the angle made by the refracted ray with the normal passing through the point of incidence. Use geometry to find the angle of incidence(i') for the ray leaving the prism, (Not totally sure, but i think it will be A=i+i') Again use snell's law to find the angle of refraction r' on leaving the prism
Yah I think Mani is right, you find angle r but taking sin inverse from your mathematical tables or directly from your calculator.
Yes, I got it! I just had to keep finding the angles of the new triangle formed from complementary angles until I finally got to the second angle of incidence.
Thanks Mani and Rue for your help =)
