Use a caculater to find the following value.Round 4 places Sin 21 and cos21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have a calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no not one that does sin and cos

OpenStudy (anonymous):

type "sin 21" in google.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does it say?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so round - sin21 = 0.35836795 and cos21 = 0.933580426

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i want a merit badge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.35836795..... The first place is 3, the second place is 5, the third place is 8.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then the second one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we didn't finish the first one yet. What is your answer for sin21 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.3584

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cool.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sure you can figure out the second one. It's the same exact process.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now the secone one ? I just need like step by step in math and then I get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then the second oien would be 0.9336?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

r u there ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are correct in your rounding. Unfortunately, I think venita gave you the wrong approximations for sin and cos of 21. Please use google and tell me what you get for sin21 and cos21.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got sin(21) = 0.836655639..., what did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok sin is 0.836655639 and cos 0.54772926

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin(21) = 0.836655639... cos(21) = -0.54772926... and you know how to round them! (you forgot the negative on the cosine)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok is sin 21- 0.3584 and cos 21 -0.9336?????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there was no negetive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh dear....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you taking cosine of the number 21, or cosine of 21 degrees?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

degree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, next time we have to be more clear about that so that there isn't confusion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry I actidenly put a negetive sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So yes, the answer is: approximation of sin(21degrees) = 0.3584 approximation of cos(21degrees) = 0.9336

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thx
