\[x^3 - (3/x)^2 - 18x + 25 = y \]
over the region x = -4 to x = 4
Not too hard. Here's the thought process. The derivative tells us the rate of change of the function, (or slope) right? If the slope is positive, then the function is increasing. If the slope is negative, then the function is decreasing. If the slope is 0, then it's doing neither. It looks like this: |dw:1335464669670:dw|
