which do i use to solve this? tan, cos, or sin?
I would use cosine A=35/37
sine = opposite/hypotenuse, cosine = adjacent/hypotenuse. you could use which ever.

since they want the angle Use the inverse function on your calculator. I come up with 18.9 degrees
