after the next test, he will have taken 5 tests.
if he wants an 85 avg for all 5 tests, then his total score for all 5 tests must be 85*5 because the definition of avg or mean is total points divided by the number of tests.

so, 85*5=425.
his first 4 tests add up to 326.
so he needs to score 99 to get to 425
