what is a directed graph? could someone draw it for me? :)

OpenStudy (blacksteel):

A directed graph is a graph in which the edges have a direction associated with them, so the edges are "one-way". (An edge can have arrows going in both directions). Philips' link gives lots of examples of such a graph.

so a tree diagram can be like a direct graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to list all the required courses for my IST major using the directed graph, so im kind of confused on how to start this :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are all the required courses? that would be a line of nodes :|dw:1335473823463:dw| then what are the electives? that would be a branching |dw:1335473866368:dw|
