How many of you can name the most film/orchestral score/soundtrack composers? Try to list ones that are really famous, kind of famous, and not that famous!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HANS ZIMMER IS KING OF MOVIE COMPOSING

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Note: internet searching/google is allowed! I know it's tricky to think of them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, definitely, jasonsmart! I love him! He's amazing . . . actually, words can't describe how creative and amazing he is! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean he does movies from like lion king to inception and all pirates of the caribbean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh and sherlock holmes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, I'll start you off: 1. John Williams (of course!:) 2. Alexandre Desplat 3. John Powell 4. Harry Gregson-Williams 5. Steve Jablonsky 6. Danny Elfman (certainly a man of fantasy!) 7. Rodgers & Hammerstein

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the only one i reckognised was danny elfman

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, don't worry about it - I kind of cheated. :) I have had the opportunity of being able to listen to Rhapsody for many years, so I guess I've had more exposure to them, than most. That's okay, though! At least you knew Danny Elfman. I know that it's hard to remember composers, where they always put their names in the end credits kind of far down!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

noone ever looks except us!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you the type that always stays for the end credits, at the theater? Unless I'm with someone who doesn't like to, I ALWAYS stay for the end credits. They're usually the best, right?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i do!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, how about this - tell me movie names that have the best film scores (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings, Transformers, etc.).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.... umm... sherlock holmes is my favorite and inception is #2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mine is The A-team i just love that movie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH, I definitely agree with you!! My favorite song is "Discombobulate"! It scares me every time it gets to the loud part, though. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oooo, that has really good music, too!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

amazing bass

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i like predators too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mirrors and mirrors2 is also awesome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think one of THE most incredible mix of themes is the end credits for "At World's End" ! It's a little over 10 minutes long, and it combines EVERY theme from all of the previous films.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What are mirrors and mirrors 2? I don't believe I've heard of those.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and zombie land is really awesome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've listened to one of the songs from "Tron Legacy," and I hear the rest of the songs are really good. Do you know anything about it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i hate that movie tron legacy ... sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, I don't think it looks that good, either. I haven't seen it, but I probably never will. I'm not too into superhero films, or the Sci-Fi genre.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why is it so bad? Was the acting poor, the storyline not very engaging, etc.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its all sci-fi based movie story is also not good...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahh, I completely understand!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have u ever seen nightmare on elm street ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's just something so unrealistic about the Sci-Fi genre. I've almost always found it impossible to relate to those types of movies/books.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I haven't, but I don't think I want to. I saw the front cover of the film, and I listened to some of the songs. They were really weird! It did not leave me with a very good impression.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

story of scary movies are all not realistic but some of us like to watch them.... like me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ha, ha - yes, I understand. I think the type of movie you watch mostly depends upon your personality. Some people like the same films that others detest.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mostly watch action and scary movies

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sounds like a few people I know. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do enjoy most action films, though.
