Which of the following structures or systems is correctly paired with its function? a. peripheral nervous system – releases hormones and controls emotions b. neurons – brain cells that control thoughts, calculations, and memory c. cerebellum – portion of the brain that controls body movement d. central nervous system – processes information and controls responses I think its c, am i right?
Its C i took this test about an day ago
It is C. The cerebellum coordinates body movement, and of the responses given, it is the best fit. The peripheral nervous system does not release hormones, and it deals with incoming sensory impulses from the outer portions of the body and outgoing motor impulses to the skeletal muscles. It has nothing to do with emotions. Neurons are nerve cells with various functions, but they do not control thoughts or make calculations or form memory by themselves. They facilitate communication between other neurons and body parts, but that's all. The CNS is the brain and spinal cord. It can process information and control responses, but there are also reflex arcs which do not even go to the brain and are automatic; there is no processing or thought involved. ☻
hope this help ☻
