don't you just multiply the numbers when you add logarithms? log 8 + log 3 = log (8*3) isn't it?

yes log(x) + log(y) = log(xy)

log(x) - log(y) = log(x/y)
OpenStudy (australopithecus):
thus the answer is log((8)(3))
