25x^2=36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first step 36/25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now you have x^2=36/25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wwhats your necxt step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. problem is, idk what the ^ is for

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a carrot which only means "to the power to"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x^2 reads x to the power to 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so x squared = 36 divided by 25. next you devide

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is rewritten as 5^2^x2=6^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes and no you can do that but theres an easier way to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because 5^2=25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see the sqrt of 36/25 is just 6/5 do you see how that happens?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first part 5^2^2x=5^2 x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get it! so x^2 = 1.44. next you find the suare root of both right? so x = 1.2?
