I forgot how to do this: The table below represents the ordered pairs when the first four years are substituted into the equation y = 10(1.0605)x. They are rounded to the nearest whole number. Which one is incorrect; 1, 2, 3, or 4? Years after 1911: x 1 2 3 4 1st Prize in Thousand$: y 11 12 12 13 A. 1 B. 2 C. 3 D. 4

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you missing any exponent signs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yea the one up there by the parenthesis..sorry lol ;)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\[ y = 10^{(1.0605)x}\]

OpenStudy (amistre64):

still pretty simple; you plug it into a calculator ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

wolframalpha.com should suffice, or even google

I dnt think teh whole thing is exponeted I think it's just the x.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

dunno, your the one that can see it better than me. use a ^ to indicate an exponent and replace x by 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 and see which ones outta whack

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thnk u @amistre64
