why don't u just use the distance formula? read the coordinates of the endpoints of the diagnol you want then insert them into the distance formula.

see the segment that joins A and C together? you'll have to picture it in your head... that's a diagnol... a segment that joins opposite vertices together. So BD is also a diagnol. which one do you want to do? AC or BD?
