Is the following an example of simple random, cluster, systematic or convenience sampling? Group the students in a local college by year and then randomly select 15 students from each group.

OpenStudy (trancenova):

Okay well in simple random sampling you randomly choose your study objects, in cluster you choose them in groups and in convenience sampling is done when something is just close enough to be handy to sample. Which one does this one sound like? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

convenience sampling?

OpenStudy (trancenova):

It does sort-of sound like that, but sorry its not. They randomly selected their students, so its one that uses random

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simple random

OpenStudy (trancenova):

Yup :D
