How do you multiply a fraction by a whole number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait! I know how to mulyiply a fraction by a whole number!

Parth (parthkohli):

See, if you divide by x, you multiply by 1/x, so you multiply the reciprocal. You have to do the same in this case.\[\LARGE {15 \over 4} \div {30 \over 7} = {15 \over 4} * {7 \over 30} = {1 \over 4} * {7 \over 2} = {7 \over 8}\]

Parth (parthkohli):

@SomeoneYouUsedToKnow , you have to make it a mixed fraction dude, not multiply the whole by the proper fraction! Please check it now and you'll get what I am saying :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Parth (parthkohli):
