Find the variance of the data. Find the standard deviation of the data. 12.5, 12.7, 14.9, 11.3, 11.7, 10.9
First, you square each number and add them all together. Then, divide the sum by 6 as there are 6 numbers. Now, get the mean of the data, by adding all the numbers together and divide by 6. Square the mean. Subtract the mean from the sum of the squared numbers. That will be your variance. To get the standard deviation, square root the variance.
im sorry i meant this: 101, 102, 100, 100, 110, 109, 109, 108, 106 standard v = 4.2131 var = 17.7500
am I correct on this one?
The variance, if not mistaken (cause I calculated using my computer which was very uncomfortable), is 15.777777777777779. Then the standard variation would be 3.972125095937662.
