OpenStudy (anonymous):

the rectangular area is l*w the two triangles are each base * height can you do it from here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1335552919501:dw| left triangle you can find by tan \[\LARGE \tan 45^{\circ}=\frac 5x\] \[\LARGE 1=\frac5x \] \[\LARGE x=5\] so you have its area \[\LARGE A=\frac12\cdot 5\cdot 5 \] \[\LARGE A=\frac{25}{2}\] since you have TWO triangles and they're the same 2A A=2(25)/2 A=25 So Area of Two triangles together is 25cm^2 now rectangle is easy to find :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area of Rectangle is A=l*w A=7*5 A=? once you have that... sum it with 25cm^2 and you'll have the Area of trapezoid :)

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

area =(17+7)*5/2

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

area=24*5/2 =12*5=60
