Find the area of the following figure. I don't know where to start on this one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wat r da measurements for da top nd da bottem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to figure them out lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wud day b 28m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm... don't think so because 28 is the median of the trapezoid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it legal to use sin/cos/etc at 90 degree?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhm... i don't know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how cud there b a median wen da top nd da bottom r suppose to be da same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol no it's a trapezoid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

>> it means parallel =/ bud

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya but u put da symbol sayin dat da top nd bottom measurements r da same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o wait nvm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it too hard for meh to do srry i tried=]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank anyway :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np:3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use the formula A=1/2(b1+b2)h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mm mister.. wat is b1? b2? h? common now...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey... I have an Idea. if we move "Left" Triangle, into the right part and length which is 28 will become: |dw:1335564759818:dw| now we can find area of the rectangle... A=l*w A=28*14 A=392 now we need to find area of Triangle... but we don't have the length of the base. ... could it be? :O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

base 1 and base 2 of trapezoid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nice idea, but i think those lines r slightly crooked. trap i believe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then to build two triangless |dw:1335565212960:dw| then to make relations between two triangles... we can find "a" if we want..
