A leukemia patient may suffer from low blood platelet count. What might occur because of the lack of platelets in the patient's blood? Answer The patient may develop lesions in the vein and artery walls where large clots will obstruct blood flow. The patient may feel excessively tired because the blood cannot carry enough oxygen. The patient may have internal bleeding and cuts may not stop bleeding. The patient may suffer from many infections which could affect heart rate and blood pressure.

This is basically an indirect way of asking "what do platelets do?" I'll leave you to do the research on that (the first paragraph on the Wiki article should suffice for this question) - once you know the answer, you can reason out the correct choice. Let me know if you need some more help, though?

the third answer is the correct one ....because anyone who suffers from lack of platelets will suffer from a disease called haemophilia which is basically that the blood can't form clots and thus causing excessive bleeding ..and so if there is any injury or even a small cut the body cant mend it and the bleeding will not stop because platelets are vital for the formation of clots to prevent any sort of bleeding resulting from cuts or deep wounds.
