find the area of each regular polygon described. round to the nearest tenth. triangle with side length of 15.5 inches.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does a regular polygon mean? If you know that, then you are on your way.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just to add, the equation for area of a polygon is: 1/2*(apothem)*(perimeter) ** in a triangle, the apothem could be considered its height.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how do i find the apothem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in this case all you have to do is find the height. Let me give you an illustration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in a regular polygon all sides are the same.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry for late reply. But this should do it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*** I didn't solve for your area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much :)

no problem, I like helping out, especially in math :p ... :)
