by definitionb - the opposite sides of a parallelogram are parallel you can show that opposite angles 1 and 3 are equal by considering the equality of parts of each angle (alternate angles when a line crosses two parallel lines) eg angle bca = angle cad and angle and acd = bac so opposite angles bcd and bad are equal similar a rgument for other 2 opposite angles
