Help please!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (experimentx):

pi r^2 + pi* r * l = pi * 6^2 + pi * 6* 3 cm^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you were confusing me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh and i think it was D. 226 cm^2 right

OpenStudy (experimentx):

http://www.mathsteacher.com.au/year10/ch14_measurement/18_cone/20cone.htm use this formula ... it's a cone ... calculate it, should be less.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it was D...right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://math.about.com/od/formulas/ss/surfaceareavol_2.htm here it gives you how to find the surface area, its more direct but pretty much it is what experimentX said: you have all the lengths needed just plug in to the equation and you'll get your answer

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Surface area = pi r^2 _+ pi r l so: Surface area = pi (36)+pi (6)(3)=36pi + 18 pi= 54pi=169.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks mertsj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it was B

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yw. Can't you multiply 54 times pi?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i can multiply but i just hate geometry cause it confuse me

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Multiplication is NOT geometry.
