Ths may be wayyyy off bt since you seem to be in desperate need. 
 Modern Bios and Auto conist of the things that seem more revelant to our society. Things like sucess in business, fame even. They tend to focus that one person entirely and less on everyone else envolved.

Where as to the classics give more information on the details of that persons background. Ie. Parents, upbringing, directed example stories and situations that may help the reader connect with the person. Classics are more imformative while are almost for entertainment.
