Okay, um you would commonly hear something like "That shirt is 80% off its original price" If the shirt was say $10 then 80% off would be $8 off equation = 10% of $10 is $1 so subtract $2 :) or 10 x 8/100 = x good luck!

There are sooo many....how about a simple recipe...to make one cup of rice you need 2 cups of water so for each serving of rice (for x number of cups of rice to make) you need: 1 cup of rice=2cups of water, so x cups of rice=2x cups of water
