Why is problem #5 NOT 2/3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is 2/9 by the way...

OpenStudy (experimentx):

(u/v)' = (u'v - v'u)/v^2

OpenStudy (experimentx):

must be 2/9 u = g(x), v=x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o i gotta use the product rule prior to plugging in anything

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean quotient

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now im getting -2/9 ugh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

= (2 *3 - 4 )/ 3^2

OpenStudy (experimentx):

(g'(x) x - g(x)/x^2 = (2*3 - 4)/3^2=2/9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o ok. i did the numerator backwards.
