I would first rewrite both of the sentences, they are a bit awkward. What you are writing sounds pretty informal, e.g. "at the bottom of everyone's list" and "that being said" don't sound that formal.

In recent years, the concern for the environment's health have been put on the bottom of everyone's list even though there are many causes to the increase in global warming. That being said, the main concern is that it needs to be fixed.

It really doesn't need a transition. It just needed to be written differently. I didn't change it too much though.
