X^2

OpenStudy (zepp):

Set one side to 0, and use either the quadratic formula or the factoring method to find x 0 = -x^2 + 8x -11

OpenStudy (zepp):

The equation for the quadratic formula is \[\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 -4ac}}{2a}\]

OpenStudy (zepp):

Where a = -1 b = 8 c = -11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just use the quadratic formula : so it would be [-8 +/- sqrt(20) ]/ -2
