From a users perspective what phone is easier to use Android or iPhone? Which is easier to develop apps for? Which has the most advanced features such as image/animations manipulation while developing an app for it? Which can I get say work @ my job done faster more easily and after 6 months of not using some important text file on my phone which phone will be easier for me to find it on without using a search program?

You can go either way, it really depends on your target user-base for the application. Personally I would choose android because there are less barriers to people using your app since it is less costly device. Also, making an app "look and feel fantastic" has to do with the programing and graphic design of the app, not the platform you build it on.

Personally, I think the iPhone's graphics look more polished. As far as developing, the Android is Java, the iPhone is Objective C.
