F= find the derivative matrix for the following vector field.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dF/dx= matrix of partial of x,y,z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isn't it: \[\vec{F}=(F_1,F_2,F_3) \rightarrow D\vec{F}=\left[\begin{matrix}\frac{\partial F_1}{\partial x_1} & \frac{\partial F_1}{\partial x_2} & ...\\ \frac{\partial F_2}{\partial x_1}& ... & ... \\ . & . & . \\ . &. &. \\ . & . & . \\\end{matrix}\right]\]

Is it that or is it each component across the row with a single variable? I can't remember...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it's x partial of x, x partial of y, partial of z and so on. I just forgot how to work it out.
