Please describe in detail how to use a multimeter to find the current of a circuit? I have to write a procedure and was gone the day my class did the lab so any help would be greatly appreciated :)

ammeters are hooked up in series. Voltmeters are hooked up in parallel.

If we have two resistors in series, to measure the current, we need to hook up the ammeter as shownIt can also be before the resistors or between them since the current is the same for resistors in series.

If they are in parallel, we can only measure the current through one at a time. Hook up the ammeter as shown
