the u.s constitution contains which provision from the virginia plan
The Virginia Plan was supported by big states (like, Virginia!) because it called for a legislative body based on population. This, of course, gave the big states much more power in the fed. The NJ Plan was supported by little states, and called for equal representation - every state would only get one vote. In the end, as is the hallmark of American politics, a compromise was attained - one body would be based upon population, the other with each state having the same amount of influence. Today, we call these two bodies the House of Representatives and the Senate, of course.
It may be useful to note that the right to pass taxes or bills dealing with revenue was delegated to the House, as an effort to pacify the not-so-pleased bigger states :) hope that helps!
