the sides of a polygon are 3,5,6,8, and 10. the perimiter of a similar polygon is 40. Find the sides of the second polygon.

Let the sides of the new polygon be 3k, 5k, 6k, 8k, and 10k. Thus, 3k+5k+6k+8k+10k=32k=40 which means k=5/4. Now substitute this k on each side.
