Explain the difference between a two-dimensional figure and a solid.

OpenStudy (chrisplusian):

a two dimensional object is flat, it has two dimensions an object is viewed as height width and depth, or three dimensional

Thank You!

OpenStudy (chrisplusian):

no problem

Example: A square is 2 dimensional whereas a cube is 3 dimensional.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you "section" a 3D object (cut through it) then you get a 2D egs sphere (r^3) -> circle(r^2) cube (m^3)-> square(m^2)
