Well, first you need to get the area of the Snare and the Bass Drums. Area for a Circle (which is the shape of both Snare and Bass drums) is: \[Area (Circle) = pi \times Radius^{2}\] But you have a diameter for both, and Diameter is is twice the radius, so your Formula will be: \[Area(Circle) = pi \times (diameter \div 2)^2\] To solve for the answer, just subtract the area of the Snare to the area of the Bass: \[Area (Bass) = pi \times (BassDiameter \div 2)^2\] \[Area (Snare) = pi \times (SnareDiameter \div 2)^2\] \[Answer = Area(Bass)-Area(Snare)\] Solve that, and you got yourself an answer.
