Jay has made a foam ramp for his pet dog, as shown below. a prism is drawn. The base of the prism is a rectangle with length 5 feet and width 1.5 feet and height of the prism is 2 feet. What is the volume of foam, in cubic feet, required to make the ramp? 15 7.5 31 2.8

do you know how to find the volume if it was a cube?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont remember

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is length x width x height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yea yea yea. i remember

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from just a visual perspective, I would think the 'triangle' prism would have half the volume of the full 'rectangular' prism. don't you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it wud be 7.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what I would think. nice job.

thanks
