Transforming the left side to the right side cos(t)tan(t)=sin(t)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

write out that tan(t) as sin(t)/cos(t)... cancel out the cos(t).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so sin(t)=sin(t) and what else?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

notice that in both problems you posted, you changed everything in terms of sine and cosine. that is a good strategy to start from.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just proved that the left side is the same as the right side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh is that all you have to do ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the problem earlier, when i look at the book the answer was cos(t)
