Use a calculator to find a value of theta between 0 degrees and 90 degrees that satisfies the statement. Write your answer in degrees and minutes rounded to the nearest minute. csc(t)=7.0683

OpenStudy (henryblah):

cosec is 1/sin. So then you can rearrange and find inverse sin (1/7.0683).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after i put sin (1/7.0683) and i got .002469 then how do i turn it into minute?

OpenStudy (henryblah):

Inverse sin not sin. Minutes are 1/60th of a degree. So you get the decimal part and you work out how many 1/60th there are. E.g. divide by 1/60.

is it 7.98 ?
