3/x+7 + 4/x-8 rational expressions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean by that? Do you mean simplify? The way to simplify the expression is to multiply the denominators by to the numerators to form a common denominator so you get. 3(x-8)+4(x+7)/(x+7)(x-8) after you do that you multiply through the parenthesis and then reduce. So you get. (7x+4)/(x+7)(x-8)
