Based on your format there, it's hard to tell which inputs are matched with which outputs. However, here's my explanation for testing is something is a function. If I have an ordered pair like (1,2) it means that the input, 1 has an output of 2. Looking at my list of pairs, two inputs are allowed to have the same output. So I can have the points (1,2) and (3,2) in the same function. However, one input is not allowed to have more than one output. So I CAN'T have the points (1,2) and (1,3) in the same function.
