I'd say that it helps out.  I took the history AP's offered in my high school...I passed them;  However, I didn't use it, just what was taught in class: but like any review; it should help some...

Just know your facts: depending which History you are taking.  World History? or the other History? where political science is involved?

in World History: hmm don't remember exactly: that was some years ago, but major key dates, and stuff... asking your History teacher/professor would be best.  They have a better insight.
