How did the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and the rise of Nationalism combine to spark WWI?

OpenStudy (albert0898):

THIS IS THE MATH SECTION.... The Hapsburg Empire had conquered and annexed most of central Europe by the early 1900s, however, Austro-Hungary was pretty much out of money by this point. This is primarily due to the fact that the Hapsburg were almost constantly at war. Without any ability to control civil unrest in its various constituent countries, Austria, Northern Italy, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Poland had plenty of nationalism. Archduke Franz Ferdinand was the nephew of the final Hapsburg king and was a symbol of the empire. The assassination of Franz Ferdinand was really the spark that prompted all of the nationalists around the Hapsburg Empire to revolt and tear down the empire.
