What would happen in an ecosystem without primary consumers?

the primary producers become populated and then there was not enogh things for them.

well it would disturb the whole food chain carnivore animals which cant digest cellulose have to prey on primary consumers they would die and worse of all i might hav to be a vegetarian :P well in short it would destroy the whole food web
