Shannon makes large cookies. These cookies are 22 inches in diameter. How much icing will she need to cover the top of each cookie?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11π in2 22π in2 484π in2 121π in2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pir^2 is the area so if the diameter is 22 what is teh radius?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right so pi(11)^2 =area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

121pi=area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have 2 more questions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so ask them here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you sure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thank you! Mandy loves to eat New York pizza. Each square inch of pizza is 10 calories. She orders a slice of pizza from a pizza with a diameter of 20 inches that is cut with a central angle of 50 degrees. How many calories does she eat?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh this stupid its dinner time and i didnt figure it out yet. hmmmmmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This might help about 3,142 calories about 43 calories about 436 calories about 314 calories

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk let me quickly try to figure it our

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok take your time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

436 i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a formula that i just found online

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its r^2/2(pi/180C-sinc) 100/2(5pi/18-sin(50)) 50(5pi/18-sin(50)=5.33 and then u multiply it by 10 and u get 53 calories but that doesnt amke sense so just ignore me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok the answer is 3142 calories

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i turned it in cause time was running out and i got a hundred

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 436 was right xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):
