Thomas, Jenna, and Maria are playing a game. They have a bag that contains 42 white tiles and 4 red tiles. Each player takes turns picking a tile at random and does not return the tiles to the bag. The player who draws a red tile first is the winner. In the first round, Thomas goes first, then Jenna, and then Maria, and none of them draws a red tile. What is the probability that Thomas will win the game on his second turn?
2/23?
@jollysailorbold can you help?
So there's 42 White 4 red and 46 in all 3 people draw white tiles so now theres 39 whites 4 red and 43 in all what is the probability that Thomas will win(pick a red tile) on his second turn? 4/43 because there's 4 chances of winning in 43 total tries. (if i'm not wrong)
