The bottom shape is a square prism with base edges of 4 inches and a height of 12 inches. What is the surface area of this composite figure if the top shape is a right pyramid with a height of 3 inches? Can someone walk me through this?

the surface area of the square prism equals the areas of the four faces the are of one face= 4 times 12 = 48 the surface area of the square prism= 4 times 48= 192 the surface area of the pyramid= 4 times the area of the four triangles you could do that and then add what you got from the last step to 192 and u will get the answer
