If you mean indefinitely as in given the conditions of that environment, then the answer is carrying capacity. This is the # of organisms an environment can hold at max with the supplies that is has. Biotic potential is how many could potentially survive IF the conditions were PERFECT. So, unlimited supplies. I believe in this case, it is CARRYING CAPACITY though.
