How do you draw acceleration graphs based on velocity graphs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

acceleration is just the derivative of velocity. So simply find the derivative for the function for velocity and plot it.

For example if you have a constant velocity then the acceleration will be flat. If you have a veolicity that is increasing then the acceleration will be a diagnol line.
