The area of a rectangle is 8x^2+14x+3. The length is 2x+3. what is the width?
Do the division, its simple. Area/length = width
I know, but how do i do that, when its in those forms..
Long division of polynomials, it's in every algebra textbook. steps: 1. Divide first term, 2. Multiply by the factor found in step 1 3. Subtract the new polynomial 4. Repeat until you obtain an undivisible term, if this isn't clear your textbook for sure has an adequate explanation with examples as well.
if you need more info you can check out this tutorial i once did on dividing polynomials by binomials :) it might help ^_^ http://openstudy.com/users/lgbasallote#/updates/4f9c9dace4b000ae9ed1966f
Can any of you do it for me? Pleasee.
\[8x^2+14x+3 \div 2x+3\]
