What is the equation of the line written in general form? -3x - y + 2 = 0 3x - y - 2 = 0 3x + y - 2 = 0

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

uhmmm do you have a picture/description of the line? because all of them are in general form :P i think it's a matter of interpreting an information

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes one sec

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

well your y-intercept is negative...since the line crosses the y-axis at the negative y-axis...so that cancels out your first option

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

and judging from your third option if 3x + y -2 = 0 then y = -3x + 2 ^that makes the y intercept positive so that cancels out too does that make sense to you?

thanks
