How do you do this when there is no other information given?

reworded: A circle has five points placed on it, each an equal distance away. Hint: a circle has 360 degrees. Still need help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

36?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lets see. first know that any inscribed angle is equal to half of the length of its arc. from there, know that each point is 360/5 degrees away from eachother. This number is 72.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angle 1 contains two out of the five segments inside of the circle, which would be 72 x 2. this arc angle is 144.

Therefore, angle one is 144 / 2, otherwise 72 degrees. There may be a more simple way to solve the equasion, but seeing as it has been a while since I was in geometry, and I forget as to if you can simply divide 360/5 to get the answer of the individual angle. Does that help?

Yes, it was a simple question I did not get :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I forget the simple way to answer the simple question, my apologies.. xD but that is the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No! No need to apologize :P
